Microsoft and Diyar showcase solutions for ‘Government Empowerment’ at Kuwait’s 4th E-Government Forum (EGOV4)

Kuwait – In line with its commitment towards the empowerment of the government of Kuwait, Microsoft today participated in the 4th E-Government Forum held from 27th to 29th November 2016, at the courtyard Marriott hotel.

During EGOV4, Microsoft and its partner Diyar United Company showcased a range of solutions to help accelerate E-Services in the government sector. The Microsoft solutions showcased and demonstrated included Electronic Correspondence Management System with Digital Signature as per the government electronic law integrated with the Public Authority for Civil Information (نظام التراسل والتوقيع والتصديق الاكتروني), and the smart help desk system as per the latest governance recommendations from the Central Agency of Information and Technology (نظام الدعم الفني الذكي).

“The Government of Kuwait is seen accelerating towards achieving digital transformation, and Microsoft is proud to be supporting them in this journey.” Said Charles Nahas, General Manager, Microsoft Kuwait. “Our participation this year at EGOV4, under the banner of “An Empowered Government” reiterates Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to support Kuwait in this digital era, and helping ensure that the Kuwait government organizations keep launching new leading eServices for better serving businesses and citizens.

During the forum, Microsoft also showcased its intelligent cloud; Microsoft Azure, Power BI Analytics as well as IoT solutions that can enable governments to transform their services and engage with citizens more effectively. Sayed Hashish, Public Sector Manager, Microsoft Middle East and Africa, in his keynote speech noted that “To stay relevant and effective, public organisations and governments around the world will need to continuously evolve. Whether they are in the middle of an economic crisis or boom - they will face changes expectations from citizens, businesses and society at large”.
